Purpose and lawful bases

Perfectly Write retains and uses clients’ data for the purposes of providing editing, proofreading, writing, research and such other services as may be required (‘the services’). The lawful bases for holding and processing clients’ data are contract and/or consent. The data of suppliers and others may also be held or processed on occasion; the lawful bases for the holding or processing of such data are contract and/or consent.

Who can access data

Data can only be accessed by Máire O’Dwyer. Data is not shared with third parties, and is not transferred to third countries.

Retention period

Clients’ data is held for the duration of the service provision relationship, which in many cases is ongoing, and in any event data is held for six years. If Perfectly Write considers the service provision relationship to be still ongoing, data may be retained, even if communication is not of recent date. If a service provision relationship should be definitively ended, the relevant data will be deleted. The data of suppliers and others will be held for six years. Consent to the holding of data may be withdrawn at any time.

Rights of individuals

Individuals may access their data on request. Individuals may withdraw consent to their data being held by the business at any time by contacting us via our contact form or via email or telephone. Individuals may lodge a complaint regarding data access with the Irish Data Protection Commissioner or other supervisory authority. Individuals also have rights to rectification.
